Have you ever thought how many people aren't able to eat 3 times a day? Are you aware of the fact that one child dies every 5 seconds as a result of hunger? Hunger, crimes, deaths.. all of them meet in just one root- POVERTY. This topic has never been pulled out of the trending social issues. But what could probably be the cause of this? One factor is lack of will power or initiative. It's like a person has been given the opportunity to help himself but he chose not to do anything. Man is responsible for whatever he has now. Another factor is corruption. It's actually sad to know that corruption has been continuously present in our society. It's like as if it's been part of our culture, a cancer of the society that will never be healed. Corruption is also the reason why there are a lot of people who are wondering where they will get their food every day. Undeniably, no country has been free from this problem. This is why the gap between the rich and the poor is quite high and often widening. People are slaves of their power and money that's why injusticeness and inequality are very common nowadays. And the last factor is lack of education. This contradicts the first factor which is will power. You may have the initiative but not the knowledge. You're pretty much lucky if you have both, but it would be quite disappointing if you won't be able to use it well. Because of this, many people are unemployed because most available jobs are not appropriate for their knowledge or mind capacity. This call is for all of us, especially for us youth to start early and look forward to a better future. We are given the choice to create our future. Let’s not waste it. Let’s make a difference. Let’s be instruments of change!
